Details of the exact number of awards available for each scheme and subject area are yet to be confirmed by the AHRC. Updated information will be provided as and when the College is informed.
Eligibility
AHRC studentships are open to UK and EU students who meet the residency requirements set out by the AHRC. Please see the AHRC Guide to Student Eligibility for full details.
Submitted applications will be checked for eligibility and those that meet the required criteria will be passed to the relevant Subject Area Panels for consideration and selection. Decisions will be made at the latest by early April, with all applicants being notified of the selection outcome by the end of April at the latest.

Additional information on subject areas
The selection of candidates will be made by a panel of academic members across the relevant subject areas from within King’s and ratified by the College’s Block Grant Partnership Management Group.

This document provides details of the subjects covered by each area as prescribed by the AHRC, together with details of which masters programmes are eligible under the Research Preparation Masters schemes. Applicants should review this document carefully before completing an application to ensure that their programme or research project falls within the remit of the AHRC and more specifically within the remit of one of the subject areas available at King’s.
