Organisational and Staff Development

The Organisational & Staff Development unit at King’s provides training, development and consultancy opportunities for all staff and teams.

London Centre for Arts and Cultural Enterprise

King’s is a founder and lead partner in the London Centre for Arts and Cultural Enterprise (LCACE). LCACE provides academics from all disciplines with networking and information exchange opportunities and runs an annual Knowledge Exchange Seed Funding scheme which makes awards of up to £5K.Or contact Dr Dorian Hayes, Business Development Manager – Creative & Cultural Industries and LCACE’s representative at King’s.

The Modern Language Centre

The Modern Language Centre (MLC) offers an exciting range of assessed language modules, as well as an expanding programme of evening language classes.

The MLC also manages the Open Learning Centre which offers state-of-the-art computer workstations and resources for you to further refine your language skills.

Our extensive training and development portfolio comprises a wide range of IT and iSkills short courses, complemented by an expanding collection of high quality online self-paced learning guides. Research students and staff can book courses via the Skills Forge booking system at: http://training.kcl.ac.uk and online learning guides are available on OneSpace IT & e-Services: http://onespace.kcl.ac.uk

Study Skills & English Language Centre

The English Language Centre (ELC) offers academic language and skills training for all King’s students. More information on all these courses and the registration process can be found on the ELC website http://www.kcl.ac.uk/elc under the courses section.

The King’s Learning Institute

The King’s Learning Institute offers the Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice (GCAP) programme to PhD students who support student learning as teaching assistants. For further details and an application form please go to http://www.kcl.ac.uk/learningteaching
