After you apply
The admission process
After you submit your online application you will receive an acknowledgment to the email address you supplied on the application form. Please note that we will usually only correspond via email so it is important to check your email account regularly. Once we receive your completed application and all necessary supporting documentation, it will be processed by our admission staff and a decision will usually be made within 7 working days.
The offer letter
If successful, you will initially be sent:
- an offer letter, including details of the session and the course(s) for which you have been given a provisional offer;
- an invoice, detailing the tuition fee.
Course allocation
If you are successful with your application then we will offer you a place on the Summer School and provisionally allocate you a place on your first choice. If places are not available on your first choice (or it is no longer available), but are available on your second choice, then you will be offered a provisional place on this one. If neither is available then we will automatically offer an alternative or contact you for further advice. All offers of a place on a particular course are provisional due to our minimum enrolment numbers. Details of the course you have been provisionally offered will be in the offer letter.
Payment of fees
We require invoices to be paid within 30 days of receipt of invoice, or by the early/late application deadline (whichever is sooner). Unfortunately we cannot confirm your place on the Summer School until the invoice has been paid. Once the invoice is paid then the place on the Summer School is confirmed and further detailed information will be sent out about the programme.
Visa requirements
UK and EU nationals do not need to apply for a visa to study on the Summer School. However if you are not a UK or EU national then you may need to apply for a Student Visitor visa. Please check out visa page for details.
Request to change courses
Should you want to switch courses once you are here, you can do so in the first few days subject to the agreement of your new tutor and the Summer School office. Please do so early if you want to receive a full transcript, as you cannot transfer your attendance record to the new course.
Terms & Conditions
All applications to the Summer School are subject to the Summer School Terms & Conditions. Full Terms & Conditions can be found on our website or alternatively please contact the Summer School office for further details.
