Academic support

On your programme, you will receive academic and personal support and guidance from your School or Department, and also your fellow students. Additional support is also offered by King’s College London Students’ Union (KCLSU), the English Language Centre and through our welfare and other services. There are currently special induction sessions for both international and mature students.

Personal tutorPersonal Tutors - Every student is allocated a personal tutor from within their Department or School. You will probably meet your tutor within the first few weeks of starting at King's.

 

The CompassThe Compass - The Compass is a purpose built student centre providing enquiry and support services to all students - past, present and future. 

 

ComputerIT services (ITS) - Provides core IT services to support teaching and learning, research and college administration.

 

 

InformationLibrary services - delivers a portfolio of support services across five campuses providing access to the print and online information resources, archives and special collections that support learning, teaching and research across the College.

 

Religious provisionReligious provision - The College has two chapels and a quiet room at the Waterloo Campus, and all three places are open to everyone for private prayers and reflection.

 

Student counsellingStudent counselling, student advice & international student support - The Student Counselling Service offers counselling, whether specifically related to study or not.

 

Health & dental servicesHealth and dental services - King’s has a comprehensive Student Health Centre at the Strand Campus. This is an NHS GP service run by nurses and doctors.

 

ChildcareChildcare - If you would like to talk about your childcare needs then please contact a Student Adviser. They can give you information on financial assistance and budgeting.

 

Disability & dylslexia serviceDisability & dyslexia support - If you are thinking of applying to King's, or if you are already with us, the disability and dyslexia service can provide confidential advice and support.

 

Students on computersArchives & Special Collections at King’s hold a unique, internationally significant and continually expanding range of archival and printed sources available for you to access.
