As part of the admissions process at King’s, you will be assessed for your fee status, to determine whether you are eligible to pay tuition fees as a ‘home’ or an ‘overseas’ student.
The important, but not necessarily the only, factors that determine whether you are eligible to pay tuition fees as a ‘home’/EU student are as follows. The rules are complicated and it is therefore advisable to seek expert advice:

- You must have ‘settled status’ in the UK on the ‘relevant date’. Settled status means being ordinarily resident in the UK with no immigration restriction on the length of your stay, which will mean you have right of abode or indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK
- You also need to show that you have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years before the start of your course and the reason for your residency was not mainly for the purposes of receiving full-time education
