Annual General Meeting
The AGM of King's UCU branch takes place on
Wednesday 7 December 2011
Room K.6.29, Strand, at 16:00
Agenda available to download below.
Last year has seen UCU members face attacks over their pensions and pay, and the launch of a Government white paper for Higher Education. The changes proposed in the white paper will have a detrimental impact on the University sector particularly for students and staff.
UCU members at King's have been involved in local and national fights, including Wednesday's magnificent action in unity with 2 million other public sector worker, to defend our jobs, conditions and pensions as well as defending the values of the education and research our members undertake.
Wednesday 7th December, KCL UCU will be holding the Branch Annual General Meeting at 4pm on the Strand Campus, in room K6.29. We encourage all members to attend and contribute to a discussion about our activities and priorities over the coming year.
We hope UCU at King's will be able to continue to defend our members jobs and conditions of work and protect our profession but we need your help. If you are able to contribute to our local branch in anyway please speak to one of our committee members either before or at the AGM. Alternatively we can be contacted via email at ucu@kcl.ac.uk.
Can you be a departmental representative?
Be a point of contact for the UCU in your department or division. Let new staff members know about the UCU.
Could you be a member of the KCL UCU executive committee?
Help plan and be involved in UCU activities and campaigns across the college. If you want to be on the committee, complete the nomination form below and bring to the AGM.
Could you be a caseworker?
Assist individual members with questions or problems at work.
