Our people
Our talent, commitment and creativity are central to King’s success.
King’s will maximise our positive impact on society by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship across the university. We will strengthen our approach to innovation within education and the real-world translation and application of our research.
Digital capability and lifelong learning are central to this ambition. King’s will continue to explore and enhance the digital and physical educational offerings that it provides beyond our campuses and beyond the traditional degree. As the world of work evolves, King’s will ensure that our students, staff and alumni can continue to develop the skills needed to navigate and lead through change. This includes expanding digital learning opportunities, short courses and professional development aligned to emerging fields and societal needs.
King’s will continue to build a culture where ideas move easily from discovery to real-world benefit, leveraging our location in the heart of London to deepen our partnerships with industry, government, the NHS, and the cultural and creative sectors. The Entrepreneurship Institute, founded in 2014, is an important example of this ambition in practice. It has enabled thousands of students, staff and alumni to develop new ventures, social enterprises and creative solutions to major challenges. This approach is also reflected in our major collaborations – from the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering and our joint medical school in Portsmouth, to strategic international partnerships with institutions such as SUSTech and NTU Singapore – where research, education and innovation are closely connected. We will build on this work so that entrepreneurial thinking and innovation become integral to the King’s experience.
Through collaborative partnerships, digital capability, and a commitment to lifelong learning, King’s will create the conditions in which ideas can flourish and be applied for the benefit of society.
