How to become an AKC
Once you have completed the AKC and graduated from your main degree programme, you are eligible to apply for election as an Associate of King's College.
After you have been elected as an Associate of King's College by Academic Board, you will be entitled to use the letters AKC after your name.
There is a charge of £6 to process your certificate application and you can now apply via the King's College Online Store.
Please do not apply until after you have graduated.
Academic Board meets 4 or 5 times each academic year, normally in October, December, February, April and June. The deadline for AKC election applications to be submitted to Academic Board is normally 3-4 weeks before each meeting.
Election applications will be sent to the next meeting of Academic Board for approval and certificates will only be sent out once elections have been ratified formally. If you require confirmation of your AKC before you receive your certificate (e.g. for job application purposes), please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
