Deputy Vice President (Global Business Development)
Tayyeb Shah is Deputy Vice President (Global Business Development). He joined King’s College London in 2007 and, working to the President & Principal, is responsible for key international and commercial university initiatives worldwide with a particular focus on China, India and the Middle East.
Tayyeb was previously Director International and responsible in 2013 for
reforming King's Worldwide as a centralised, multi-faceted international office
and developing key partnerships, including conceptualising and overseeing the establishment in 2015 of the King’s-Peking University Health Sciences Center Joint Institute for Medical Research. As Director of Executive Education, he founded the King's Summer School in 2009 and King's Professional and Executive Development in 2010, which successfully helped secure significant government and private sector contracts, and in 2012-13 launched a number of overseas offices including in China and India.
Educated at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, SOAS and Imperial College
London, Tayyeb joined King’s after over a decade in the creative and commercial sectors. He is presently a steering group member for Knowledge London, member of the Professional Development Committee of the European Association for International Education and Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.
