Learning outcomes

In completion the course the students should be able:

  • to demonstrate systematic understanding of continuum mechanics including advection diffusion reaction equations, wave equations, Navier-Stokes and Solid Mechanics
  • to use investigative strategies and combine multiple numerical techniques into a common code
  • to demonstrate confidence in the implementation of computational techniques for the finite element method
  • to demonstrate confidence in the application of these techniques to canonical biomedical modelling problems
