Why Choose King's Residences@hLevel>
Our central London residences are close to campus, come with an accommodation guarantee, and couldn't be simpler to book.
Here are just a few reasons to choose King's Residences:
• 0% deposit
• No need for a guarantor
• Fantastic, central London locations
• All utility bills included
All you need to do is follow four easy steps to book your accommodation with us. See below for details on each step.
Before you make a booking though, explore our residences page to fully understand the location, room fees, and facilities available at each residence.
You are guaranteed a place in accommodation if you meet the following conditions:
*Please ensure to register before 17/05/2020 in order to meet the deadline
- You have King’s College London as your firm choice for the 2020/21 academic year, for a full-time course
- You complete all four steps of the booking process by Sunday 31 May 2020 (UK time)*
- You have not already been offered accommodation for the year of application.
In the current climate, we are pleased to announce that the cancellation deadline has been extended to 1st August 2020. If you cancel your accommodation after this date, you will be charged a £500 late cancellation fee.
Students Under 18
King’s Residences accepts bookings from students whose 18th birthday falls after the first day of the Licence Agreement for that academic year. The properties available for students under the age of 18 are Great Dover Street Apartments and Stamford Street Apartments. These Residences are owned and managed directly by King’s College London.
As you will not yet have reached 18 years of age when your Licence Agreement (contract for your room) will be generated, we require details of your parent / guardian / responsible adult as a co-signatory.
Places in Halls are offered on the understanding that students are self-sufficient and capable of living independently, away from home and looking after themselves in all practical matters.

"Our experience has been a tremendous step up from previous years. The flexibility added through the option of selecting a desired residence has been immense. I greatly appreciate that I would have prior knowledge of where I would be staying, and the reassurance that it was a choice I made. Also the information provided about the residences is easier to access which helps with narrowing the choices"
Gurbaaz Gill, KCLSU VP Education (Arts & Sciences) 2019/20
"The system that King’s has put in place is extremely user friendly, and now with the opportunity to select a desired residence, the process is as easy as selecting a seat on a flight. Overall it feels like a much more personal experience. I also appreciate that KAAS and Accessibility provisions are well highlighted so that students make well-informed choices."
Nakul Patwa, KCLSU VP Activities & Development 2019/20
If all four steps of the booking process are completed by Sunday 31 May 2020, you will be guaranteed a place at least somewhere across King's Residences, though it may not be your preferred choice.
Step 1: Register Your Interest@hLevel>
The first step is to register your interest in accommodation. Registration will open from 16th March 2020.
At this point, you will be able to apply for the King’s Affordable Accommodation Scheme, mention any Additional Accommodation Requirements due to a serious medical condition, or declare a recent care leaver status, if you wish to do so.
To register your details you will need to enter your King's College London student ID number as your username and select 'reset password'. This will send a new temporary password to the email address we have on record. If you do not know your ID number, please refer to the offer letter that you have received via email.
Step 2: Receive an Invite@hLevel>
Within two weeks of registration you’ll receive an invitation email. The email will contain a date and time from which you can access the accommodation portal to book your room.
If you’ll be under-18 at the time of arrival, or have a serious medical condition, a member of the team will contact you directly to discuss your accommodation.
Step 3: Book Your Room@hLevel>
Once you can access the portal, you’ll be able to select from a number of criteria, such as budget or room type, and view availability across the residences. You can then pick up the exact room you like. It’s totally up to you.
Step 4: Sign Your Contract@hLevel>
Make sure to read your licence agreement (contract) carefully before signing, as it is legally binding. Once you have accepted it, you will receive a confirmation email with a PDF attachment of your Licence Agreement. Please ensure that you check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive this email.
You can make changes to your booking later if you like, but this can only be done once.
And you’re done! Welcome to King’s Residences!
