ResiLife

Our ResiLife Programme

The ResiLife Programme is set up to help build communities. Residents can engage and interact with one another to build friendships and share interests. The ResiLife Programme provides an environment to enhance the student experience and increase students physical and mental wellbeing.

This academic year, the ResiLife Programme will be a hybrid programme consisting of both face to face and online events. Events such as Tea Talk, Podcasts, Guided Meditations, Creativity Nights, and entertainment evenings are available weekly at King's residences and via our online channels. Check out our online platforms to stay up-to-date with our weekly events: TwitterFacebook Instagram and the ResiLife blog.

"Just wanted to thank you for all you have done during the past year, and even more so during these trying months. The Monday guided meditations have been a particular bright light and one of the few chances we all seem to get to power down and de-stress. Thank you!"

– Michael, PhD Defence Studies (Atlas)

Sustainable Living Communities (SLCs)

A Sustainable Living Community, or SLC, is a group of students who live and explore a similar interest and lifestyle together. SLC members live in designated residences, either a flat or a shared communal kitchen, and participate in group activities designed to facilitate a stronger commitment to the designated SLC theme.

SLC members typically develop peer relationships more quickly, enjoy increased faculty and staff interaction outside the classroom, and have a smoother transition into University life.

Community Team

ResiLife events are organised by the Community Facilitators to provide additional events throughout the month to celebrate global events and provide other opportunities to create a diverse community.

Community Facilitators act as role models and peers and help to develop communities for students to live and learn in. Being an CF is an exciting and life changing opportunity – you will make friends for life, build an incredible network, enjoy the status of the position as well as gaining experience and receiving training that is highly valued by employers.

GradPlus

Our postgraduate residents have their own unique needs and aspirations. More independence, greater opportunities for professional networking, and executive grade accommodation located right in the centre of town. This is why we have created GradPlus, a postgraduate living experience designed specifically for you. The GradPlus concept will be aimed at the independent semi-professional looking for a new type of student accommodation. Perhaps you’re a more mature student or taking a career break, or maybe you’re just looking for something a little more high-end.
