A project aiming to decolonise the Philosophy Department. Started with an analysis of philosophy modules, identifying those that are Eurocentrically focused.

This AHRI project gives PRGs who have teaching experience (past or present GTA) the chance to design a course or skill-specific engagement activity for students

Interactive Discourse Analysis Workshops

Principal investigators: Lauren Cantillon, Taylor Annabell.

The project provides MA students in the CMCI department with an opportunity to gain experience of data analysis within a collaborative, informal environment.

Obsidian Foundation Writers' Retreat

Principal investigators: Nick Makoha, Theresa Lola, Tobi Kyeremateng.

Obsidian is a new foundation and retreat for Black poets.

ParaPride: Activist-in-residence scheme

Principal investigators: Sebastian Matzner.

This project trials an activist-in-residence scheme between Queer@King’s and ParaPride, a charity working at the intersection of LGBTQ+ and disability.

Postcolonial Film Club

Postcolonial Film Club. This project sees the establishment of a fortnightly film club, consisting of a 3-hour film showing and discussion group.

In collaboration with the AHRI, Anna Khlusova's research project explores opportunities and challenges arising from digital public engagement.

Racism as a Virus

Principal investigators: Wing-Fai Leung, Victor Fan.

Responding to the 20% rise in anti-Asian hate crimes during the COVID-19 pandemic and exploring longstanding institutionalised racism.
