Department of Philosophy
These modules are offered in the Department of Philosophy. Places are NOT guaranteed for students in the Department of Classics, however the content of these modules means that they may be counted towards Classics credits, and would not count towards external module allowance.
If you wish to take one of these Philosophy modules, you must still submit an External Module Request form, in order to register your interest.
Modules from other departments - external modules
Requesting a place on an external module
In order to request a place on an external module, please submit an External Module Request form, in addition to submitting your Classics module preferences online via Student Records.
Please be aware that places on modules with other departments cannot be guaranteed. For information about how many external credits your programme permits you to take, please see the programme specifications page on the Student Handbook.
Modern Language Centre
Students have the option of taking a 15-credit language module as part of your degree, which will be taught at the King’s Modern Language Centre (MLC).
If taken for credit, the 15-credit language module must be taken as part of your tariff of 120 credits and will count towards your overall degree result. The 15-credit language modules are normally taught over both semesters.
Faculty 'Opportunity Modules'
The Faculty ‘Opportunity modules’ are an innovative initiative to create novel spaces in which students can try something outside their own disciplines. They are specifically designed to be accessible to a wide range of students from across the Faculty and provide them with a supportive environment in which to experience cutting-edge research-informed teaching in subjects other than their own.
