Course fees are equivalent to a single term of Evening Classes.  Please click here for further details.

Fast-track courses 

  • Fast-track 1.1:  This course is for complete beginners and covers the equivalent of the first term (10 weeks) of our level 1 evening classes in just 2.5 weeks. On completing this module students can continue their studies by joining a False Beginner course in Autumn 2014. 
  • Fast-track 1.3:  This course is ideal for students who have completed two terms of our level 1 evening classes, or the equivalent of 30 hours tuition. This course will prepare students to join a level 2 course in Autumn 2014.
  • Fast-track 2.3: This course is ideal for students who have completed a False Beginner course and would like to ensure that they are ready to join a Level 3 coursein Autumn 2014.

Our fast-track courses consist of 5 classes of 3 hours duration each.  They take place from 6-9pm over 2.5 weeks.

Intensive Daytime Courses

If you want a beginner level course that offers you an intensive introduction to a language, Intensive Daytime Courses are for you. Our intensive, 1 week courses will cover the basics that you need for your holiday, or to get you off to a flying start with a new language.  Classes take place from 10am to 1pm Monday to Friday.


Tailor-made courses

The Modern Language Centre can also provide bespoke private tuition at any time for individuals or small groups.

Languages on offer: Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, Catalan, Dari, Dutch, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Panjabi, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese (European), Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Sanskrit, Spanish, Swedish, Tajik, Turkish and Urdu.
