As part of PRS for Music Foundation’s New Music 20×12 commissions, The Opera Group presents David Bruce’s Fire – a free 12-minute outdoor spectacle performed by renowned pyrotechnic artists The World Famous, an ensemble of horns, and community choirs.

Free performances will take place at Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival on 26 May before visiting London on Saturday 23 June and Saturday 14 July.

Based on a collage of texts including works by celebrated poet Vikram Seth and the sixth century Jewish poet Yannai. Fire is a spirited, meditation on humankind’s enduring fascination with flame.

The Opera Group presents this work as part of their ongoing commitment to bring together the best of music, theatre and dance to create intriguing and outstanding contemporary new productions.

The Opera Group is proud to be resident at King’s College London.
