As trustees of the Cosman Keller Art and Music [charitable] Trust, Julian Hogg and Christopher Wintle have been instrumental in placing the pictorial work of Milein Cosman, Keller’s widow, in national collections. (Milein Cosman (b. 1921) has been drawing and painting portraits of countless leading musicians, artists and writers since the early 1940s: like Keller she figures prominently in accounts of distinguished Hitler émigrés to Britain.) These include the Ashmolean Museum (University of Oxford) and the National Portrait Gallery (London). A large selection of Cosman’s work is on permanent display in the dining area of the Wigmore Hall, and another in the Salon Royal of the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. The drawings on this website are hers.
