National Student Survey

The National Student Survey (NSS) 2019 is now live at King’s and will be open until Tuesday 30th April.

The survey is open to mostly final year undergraduates. Complete it now at  www.thestudentsurvey.com

What is the NSS?

The NSS is a nationally recognised annual survey of mostly final year undergraduates in the UK. The survey provides students with an opportunity to give their honest opinions on what they liked about their time on their course at King’s as well as things that they feel could have been improved. The survey is administered by Ipsos MORI, an independent market research agency.

The survey is quick to complete and your responses will remain anonymous at all times.

Why should I take part?

  • The survey gives you a unique opportunity to make a real change for current and future students;
  • You are able to provide honest feedback on your student experience and your feedback will be used to improve the student experience at King’s;
  • The results are taken very seriously and are used by departments and the university to inform their planning;
  • Results are used by prospective students, their families and advisors to make decisions on what and where to study.

What happens with the results?

The NSS results are made publicly available to help prospective students, their families and advisors make informed decisions of where and what to study.

The department also use the data to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses to bring about change and enhancements to improve the learning experience for future students. Data from previous surveys are available on Unistats.

How else can I share my views?

We are interested in hearing your views throughout your time at King’s and you can share these through your student reps, student-staff liaison committees, and module and teaching evaluation forms.

As a department, we are committed to continually improving the experiences of our students. Your feedback is vital in helping us understand what we are doing well, what you’d like students and staff to work on together and what our priorities for improvement should be.
