Choosing modules from other departments at King's
If you have submitted a dissertation proposal for 2019-20, you will receive confirmation of your approved topic and supervisor before the module selection process opens.
Choosing intercollegiate modules
The programme specifications permit you to take a certain number of credits from other departments at King's College London, including the Modern Language Centre and other departments in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.
If you would like to take a module from another department, you should submit a module change request form after you have submitted your initial choices of 120 credits of TRS modules. The Professional Services team for your department will then liaise with the host department(s) for the module(s) concerned to check whether there is space on the module, and that the module will be suitable for you. You may also wish to discuss the matter with your programme convenor before submitting the module change request.
Please note that your request can only be granted if the host department has space on the module for you, after their own students' module allocations have been made.
For further information and guidance can be found in the Guidance document above.
The Department of Theology & Religious Studies at King's has a reciprocal agreement with UCL to permit you to take modules at this institution, where they offer modules for which an equivalent module is not available at King's.
If you are interested in taking a module from this institution, you should first make contact with the Professional Services team for that department, and/or the module tutor, to check that there is space on the module, and that the module will be suitable for you. You should also discuss the matter with the Department Education Lead before submitting your choices.
Please note that requests to take modules from outside of King's will only be granted in cases where the module you request does *not* have a direct topical counterpart at King's.
