Preparing for examinations and assessments

Sitting an examination or submitting an assessment can be stressful – especially if you have several at the same time! Make sure you perform at your best by preparing well and accessing the various sources of support on offer at King’s College London. See links below for advice and guidance:

  • Your course department might have specific rules and regulations relating to examinations or submitting assessments; make sure you know what they are
  • Visit the study skills centre at the Maughan Library and discover some useful tips for exams from study skills leaders
  • Find an effective study space at home or on-site. At King’s, there are libraries located onsite all of our campuses, which include various study spaces across our campuses to suit all study needs.
  • Look after yourself during the examination period. Find our online guidance on health and wellbeing on Student Services dedicated page.

Administration

If you have any queries regarding exam timetable and modules registered for examinations, refer to Student Services Administration for more information. Please go to Student Sevices Assessments page if you have any other examination queries. Alternatively, get in touch with your course department in good time for your examinatiions.

 

Getting your results

All the marking is done by course departments and all results are released by your course department. Please refer to these dedicated pages for information on results. If you need to prove your module result, please go to this page. Should you have any questions about your assessment or results please contact your course department.

 

Mitigating circumstances

If your personal circumstances are affecting your ability to sit an examination or to submit an assessment, then you can apply for mitigating circumstances.

 

Misconduct

Please note that King’s College London takes allegations of misconduct very seriously, and sets out the procedures for dealing with this in the academic regulations.
