The Academic Regulations are made by Academic Board under delegated authority from the Council and govern the conduct of academic activity and student discipline. The Academic Regulations are published annually in July.
Academic Regulations and programme specifications in force when a student registers will normally apply to that student until completion of the programme. New or amended regulations, which are approved by Academic Board during an academic year, will come into force and apply to new students the following September. In the unlikely event of regulations being revised for the academic year in progress, amendments will be advertised here.
A College Officer may delegate their powers under these regulations to another College Officer, either generally or in respect of a particular matter, providing always that any person to whom these powers may be delegated will be in a position to act and be seen to act impartially.
