Boards & Awards


The information on this page relates to the production of certificates and how to request a replacement certificate.

Please also refer to the Frequently Asked Questions.


The following certificates are produced by the Boards & Awards Office at King’s College London:

  • All Diploma certificates regardless of date.

  • Any awards for those students who opted for a King’s College London award when given a choice through myKCL.

  • Degree-level awards (including intercalations) for students who began their courses in 2007/08 or later.

  • MBBS and BDS awards for students who began in 2008/09 or later.

Free Standing Nursing Modules

Certificates are not produced for free-standing Nursing modules. For information on how to obtain a profile or transcipt for a module, please visit here.

Associateship of King's College London

Certificates for the AKC are produced by the Dean’s Office.

Production Time

It can take up to 3 months to recieve your certificate from your date of award (1st of the month following the Assessment Board).

Your certificate may take longer to produce during busy periods (November-January and July-August). 

Delivery Time

Certificates are sent via Royal Mail only.

We are unable to send this via courier or by electronic means for any reason.

Exact delivery times cannot be given. 

Post to some destinations may take longer to arrive. International incidents affecting mail can be found here.

Replacement certificates

We are unable to issue a replacement certificate to you if you are in possession of your undamaged or original certificate.

The university reserves the right not to issue a replacement certificate or to specify the reasons for its decision.

The current charge for a replacement certificate is £50.00. Please click on the below link to apply online and make the payment:

We are only able to send certificates in hard copy.

 Collection at Graduation

Undergraduate students with an award date of 1st July or 1st August will be able to collect their certificate at their summer graduation ceremony.

The earliest these certificates can be collected is at the ceremony itself.

Any Undergraduate certificates not collected at the graduation ceremonies will be held at the Boards & Awards office for two weeks before being sent out to the home address listed on the student record at the time of award.

Postgraduate certificates and those for Undergraduate students with other award dates will be sent out within three months of the date of award to the students listed home address.


  • All degree-level awards (including intercalations) made prior to 1st July 2008.

  • Any awards for students who opted to receive a University of London award when given a choice via myKCL.

  • All PhD and specialist doctorate awards made prior to 1st March 2008.

  • All federal degree programmes, regardless of date.
