What is an official transcript?
How long does it take to produce a transcript?
A transcript is an official document that includes your full name, course, date of enrolment and final award date. It details the module marks for each academic year and confirms the final award classification.For MBBS and BDS students your transcript includes your overall Stage/Phase marks, including SSCs where applicable.
All transcripts are signed by the Director of Academic Services and have a serial number.
If you have finished your final exams and you have received official confirmation that your award has been ratified by an Assessment Board, you are no longer a current student.

How much does a transcript order cost?
We aim to produce transcripts within 15 working days of receipt of payment.
On occasions where we need to obtain records from our Archives, production time may be increased.
During the main Examination periods (January/May/August) production times may be extended. Please note that transcripts are processed in order of receipt and we do not offer an express service.
How are transcripts sent?
Orders are placed using the online E-store webpage.

- £40 for five transcripts
- £50 for seven transcripts
Can i get an Electronic copy of my transcript
Transcript orders are sent via Royal Mail standard post in the UK and by Standard Airmail to the rest of the world. We do not have the option of sending orders via Courier or by express mail.
We are unable to send electronic copies, but if you began your studies from 2012/13 onwards you will be able to access your ROAR and HEAR on the Gradintel website. Please see further information about these documents on the Student Services webpages.
Can I get my transcript sent to another Institute?
The official transcript is available as a paper copy only, but if you started your studies in 2012/13 or later you will be able to access your ROAR (Record or Agreed Results) and HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) via the Gradintel website.
These documents can also be shared securely, and directly, with third parties. Please see further information about these documents on the Student Services webpages.
How Long do transcript orders take to arrive?
Yes you can, please indicate which Institute you would like this sent to and provide the full address and any reference numbers if required.
If you began your studies from 2012/13 onwards you will be able to share your HEAR with third parties via the Gradintel website. Please see further information about this document on the Student Services webpages.
Can my order be fast tracked?

How do I cancel my order?
No. I'm afraid orders are processed on a first come, first served basis.
Can I pre-order my final transcript?
Orders can be cancelled by emailing email@example.com. You will recieve confirmation once a refund has been processed.
I am a current student. Can I order an official transcript?
No. transcripts reflect your student record and only results that have been conferred by your Assessment Board at the time of production will appear on your transcript.
If you have completed your final Examinations please check first with your Department / Student Record centre that your results have been ratified by your Assessment Board.
I am a PHD student, can i get a transcript?
Yes you can. Please note that transcripts only include results that have been conferred by your Assessment Board at the time of production.
You can also access your ROAR and HEAR directly on the Gradintel website, and you can also share documents securely with third parties on this site. Please see further information about these documents on the Student Services webpages.
We are unable to produce transcripts for the following degrees as the results are not modular:
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Doctor of Education (EdD), Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) and Doctor of Medicine (MD).
When will I receive my certificate?
Where will my certificate be sent?
It can take up to 3 months to recieve your certificate from your date of award (1st of the month following the Assessment Board).
Your certificate may take longer to produce during busy periods (November-January and July-August).
Certificates are sent via Royal Mail only.
We are unable to send this via Courier or by electronic means for any reason.

Can i collect my certificate?
Certificates are sent to the HOME address listed on your student record at the time of your award.
You may also collect or nominate someone to collect your certificate on your behalf from our office. Please note: you will we need to contact us as soon as possible after you have been awarded if you wish to collect your certificate.
It is important that your address is correct to ensure there is no delay in receiving your certificate.
Can i have a tracking number?
Yes, but you must contact us as soon as possible after you have been awarded if you wish to collect or nominate someone to collect your certificate as we will need to record this.
What documents do i need to collect my certificate?
Students are required to bring along a form of photo ID to collect the certificate as for security reasons we cannot give this out without Photo ID.
Will i be contacted before my certificate is sent?
No, our team do not provide tracking details for certificates.
What if I have recently moved?
We do not contact students prior to sending certificates, unless you have specifically requested us to do so or If your address is in China and listed only in English on your student record.
How are certificates sent?
If you have recently changed address and are awaiting your certificate, please contact us via email as we will be able to confirm if it has been dispatched.
In cases where Royal Mail return undelivered certificates to the Boards & Awards Office, you will contacted to either collect your certificate or to have it resent to you. There is a fee of £10 for your certificate to be resent. Click here to make the payment
Where is my certificate?
All certificates are sent via Royal Mail Only.
If your address is in China and listed only in English on your student record, we will email you when your Certificate is ready to fill in an International Address label.
How long does it take for my certificate to arrive?
Can I request a copy?
We are unable to provide an update as to which stage of the postal system your certificate is in.
We can however confirm when this was dispatched to our post room and the address this was sent too.
Tracking numbers are not provided.
You must contact us within 6 months of your date of award if your certificate has not arrived .
Can I get a letter to show I have an award?
We do not hold copies- electronically or hard copy. We only produce and send 1 certificate per student. For security reasons there can only ever be 1 certificate in circulation at any one time.
I've lost my Certificate, what can I do?
Students who have lost their original certificate can apply for a replacement here.
I have completed my PHD. When should I expect my Certificate?
Current students may obtain a confirmation of award letter from Student Services

All students are now required to email their final e-thesis and declaration directly to the library at firstname.lastname@example.org and also copy in the Research Degrees team at: email@example.com before your certificate can be released.
