Training & Support
|Successful applicants will be provided with support from both Tata Group and King's College London before, during and after the completion of your internship project.|
For 2019, successful applicants will be expected to attend a half-day orientation workshop to be held in London on Tuesday 11 June 2019. This year's event will be held at The London School of Economics and Political Science across the road from the Bush House (North East) Wing and cover:
- Living and working in India
- An introduction to development (if appropriate)
- The opportunity to hear from Tata directly
- Meet with other Tata Social interns from King's, LSE and the University of Cambridge
In addition, Tata Social Interns are expected to learn some basic Hindi and do some initial research on their project topic prior to arrival in India.
During their stay in India, interns will have the support of a Tata project representative and other necessary support. All company personnel will speak English and be able to help with the local languages. Local languages could be required for field research and domestic travel.
King's College London will undertake a mid-internship review with each intern.
King's Tata Social Interns will be expected to share their knowledge, learning and experiences from their internship with the sponsors, faculty, and students interested in participating in the next round of internship placements. Feedback on the experience will be in the form of a web based profile but could also include participation in a seminar.
