Vacancy Board

Vacancy Board

Our King's CareerConnect vacancy board is available 24/7 and the most effective way to advertise opportunities for free to over 32,000 current students and recent graduates (up to two years).

The vacancy board is accessible by students and graduates from all faculties, including King's Business School.

You will need to register for an account before you can post opportunities with us.  Once registered, you can log-in, add or amend contacts, update your profile, post new opportunities or update existing adverts whenever is convenient.  We'll also email you when your opportunities are ready to expire, so you can extend them if necessary.

Organisations can post:

  • Graduate or entry-level positions
  • Spring weeks and insight programmes
  • Internships
  • Part-time/casual roles
  • Placement/year in industry roles
  • Experienced hire roles
  • Researcher and PhD positions

Our recruitment guidance offers advice on how to post a thorough advertisement on the system alongside best practice guidance on writing adverts, hosting interns, students with disabilities, recruitment timeframes and retaining talent.

Approval process

Opportunities are reviewed by our team and if required we will contact you for clarification or further information before the advert goes live, according to the dates you choose.

Please ensure you have have read our terms & conditions for use of the vacancy board before registering.

King's Internship Programmes

We run a number of bespoke internship programmes which might be of interest to your organisation, either for UK-based or international roles.

Our Accredited Internships Programme is a credit-bearing module assessed as part of a student's degree classification.  Opportunities posted to this scheme only are therefore exempt from national minimum wage legislation.

Volunteering Opportunties & Overseas Volunteering

At present, we are unable to advertise volunteering opportunities on King's CareerConnect - we are currently reviewing this as part of a wider volunteering strategy at King's.

Placements & Year in Industry

A growing number of King's programmes include either a mandatory or optional placement or year in industry as part of the academic programme.  These include:

  • BSc Chemistry
  • MSci Chemistry
  • BSc Chemistry with Biomedicine
  • MSci Chemistry with Biomedicine
  • BSc Computer Science
  • BSc Computer Science with Management

We are happy to advertise placement opportunities on our vacancy board but recommend getting in touch with us beforehand to understand more about each programme's requirements and discuss the best ways to target these students.

Alternatively, you can contact Eloise McWilliam, Faculty Placements Coordinator in the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences.

A number of our health programmes including those in the School of Biomedical Education, Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care and Dental Institute also contain placement options.

Opportunities at King's

Part-time and casual roles based on campus can be advertised through King's Talent Bank, the College's own temp agency.  Other roles which may be of interest to students and recent graduates can be posted directly on King's CareerConnect.

Advertising on behalf of another organisation/third-party

We will post opportunities if they meet our terms & conditions for working with third parties.  Please read these before posting opportunities on our vacancy board.

Third-parties will be charged £100 + VAT for each advert placed, which must be purchased at the time of advertising through our eStore.

Student Brand/Campus Ambassadors

We will advertise roles only for organisations who have an existing partnership with King's Careers & Employability, subject to our terms & conditions.

We expect:

  • the advert is explicit that the successful candidate(s) will be required to work in consultation with King's Careers & Employability and that they should be aware of the services we offer.
  • the organisation to inform us when they have filled the role(s) so we can liaise with representatives as required.

NOTE: King's does not participate in The Careers Group vacancy sharing service, but if you are interested in targeting UCL, Queen Mary, SOAS, Royal Holloway, Goldsmiths and St Mary's University, you can use the JobOnline shared vacancy board.
