Help, my Tier 4 visa has been refused!
If you have received a visa refusal, STOP.
Please follow the instructions below before attempting to submit another visa application.
Your ability to apply again will depend on the reason for your refusal, you may also benefit from submitting an Administrative Review to get the refusal overturned.
If you wish to re-apply you must have a new CAS in order to make another Tier 4 visa application.
In order for the university to issue this, we need to make sure you are in the best position for your next application to be successful.
Please note that for courses starting in September 2019, the deadline for issuing CAS to students outside of the UK is 13th September 2019. We would require details of your refusal together with evidence that you can make a successful new Visa Application in order to issue a new CAS. If you are unable to provide this information to us before that date, your only option would be to request a deferral of your studies to the next academic year. To request a deferral, please contact our Admissions team using your King’s Apply account.
What should I do now?
Complete the below form which will be sent to our Visa Compliance team. Make sure that you attach all required documents to enable us to assess your visa refusal accurately.
King’s College London has a legal obligation under our Tier 4 Sponsor Licence reporting duties to share the details of your visa refusal notice securely with the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
The Advice & Guidance Team will use the information submitted to assess your immigration options and respond to you to confirm what these might be.
We will only pass on your information to another team where you have given consent for us to do so (options are available on the last page of the form).
We will keep your information and other associated documents/emails electronically for reference, statistical monitoring and auditing purposes, for six academic years after your engagement with our team has been concluded. All statistical monitoring information will be anonymised.
Please note that if you receive a visa refusal close to the latest date of enrolment it may be too late to submit another visa application and arrive in time. In these cases, we would recommend that you contact our Admissions department via your King’s Apply account to discuss your options for deferral to the next academic year.
