About

Building success

We support students in building a platform for lifelong success. Whether they are in the Discover, Focus or Action phase of their career journey, we are here to help. We help students to:

  • Discover what career options are out there for them.
  • Identify their KASE Framework (the Knowledge, Attributes, Skills and Experience they have).
  • Find opportunities such as Experience Awards and Internships.
  • Express their skills and experiences in a job application.
  • Articulate their goals and achievements in interviews.

Download our brochure (pdf) to see our full offering helping you build success. See below for information on internships and awards.

King's Internships

Internships are short periods of work experience where you can discover what it means to work in a specific job or sector. They allow you to gain insight into the workplace, gain valuable experience and develop key skills. Internships offer lots of opportunities to boost your graduate prospects, introduce you to new networks, and can often lead to permanent employment.

Our King’s Internships team partner closely with a variety of employers in the UK and internationally to offer bespoke programmes exclusively for King’s students. Additionally, there are lots of great resources to help you source your own internship. You can find these and more on our KEATS pages.

If you are a current student or recent graduate, you can browse internship opportunities on King's CareerConnect.

King's Experience

Providing additional learning opportunities for students.

King's Experience Awards

These are modules that have been designed to help you develop employability skills through self-reflection. Achieving one of the Awards will give you formal recognition for activities you complete alongside your studies. Maybe you’ve travelled abroad or volunteered locally or even have started your own business. These experiences are valuable to employers and make you stand out. Make them count by developing yourself across three areas: Service, Leadership and Research. Our engaging programmes will introduce you to different ways of learning and expand a range of future skills that will help you communicate the value of your experience.

Student Opportunity Fund

The Student Opportunity Fund supports King’s students in undertaking projects or attending conferences and events related to their areas of interest and future aspirations. The fund welcomes applications for opportunities that will develop students' knowledge, attributes, skills and experiences which will contribute to their academic and career goals.

Find out more about on our King's Experience KEATS pages.
