If you have links to King's and do not think baptism (sometimes called Christening) is appropriate at this stage but still wish to celebrate the birth or adoption of a child, you may wish to consider having a service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child.
This special and simple service includes the opportunity to pray for the baby or child, express thanks to God, and ask for God's blessing.
