Vicky originally studied Anthropology with Biology at Durham, and completed an MSc in Public Health in Developing Countries at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2005. She has previously worked as a field manager and consultant epidemiologist in The Gambia, Rwanda and Sudan, specialising in infectious diseases.
She joined King's College London as a Research Associate in 2006 to work on a longitudinal outcomes study of HIV palliative care provision in Kenya and Uganda, funded by the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Her research interests include study design, epidemiology, healthcare provision in sub-Saharan Africa and exploring barriers to healthcare. Vicky took up an appointment as Leccturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2011. She has an honorary appointment in the department.
