Fei received a MSc degree of advanced nursing in University of Nottingham. She qualified as a registered nurse in China and a nursing lecturer in China’s university. In 2017, she started the first year of Nursing PhD in Jilin University in China. In 2018, she successfully won the 2018 King’s-China Scholarship Council (K-CSC) Programme, so she joined the Cicely Saunders Institute in October 2018.
Fei’s PhD research interest is symptoms profile impact in health-related outcomes and associated factors in hospitalized patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in China. She will undertake further analysis to understand and investigate the association between symptoms profile and health-related outcomes in COPD patients, using linked patient-level data from medical record in China. The results will develop a conceptual model of intervention in COPD patients in China, provide evidence for the future interventions to address these aspects. She is working under the supervision of Gao Wei, Jonathan Koffman, Mendwas Dzingina.
