Biography
Alice completed a BSc Econ in Education and Sociology at Cardiff University graduating in 2011. Prior to joining the department she was involved in the iDoc study, a project funded by the Wales Deanery and ran by The Cardiff Unit for Research and Evaluation in Medical and Dental Education. The project provided Foundation year doctors with a smartphone device which had access to medical text books and evaluated the affect this had on information seeking practice in the workplace.
Alice joined the Cicely Saunders Institute in 2014 to work on the C-CHANGE project with Dr Fliss Murtagh, laying out the groundwork for a palliative care casemix classification to inform palliative care funding models. Her work at the institute focuses on outcome measurement, and patterns of health resource use in palliative and end of life care. Alice is also a member of the Palliative care Outcome Scale (POS) development team.
