Research interests include health service delivery, outcome measurements in palliative care and the person-centred experience of illness.
Beth joined the department in July 2017 to work on the C-CHANGE project with Prof. Fliss Murtagh. C-CHANGE aims to develop a casemix classification to inform palliative care funding models. Her work focuses on understanding patient, carer and staff viewpoints on complexity, resource use and outcomes using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
Beth completed her BA in experimental psychology at Oxford University in 2009 and an MSc in health psychology at Bath University in 2013. Before working at the Institute, Beth enjoyed a diverse mixture of research roles for both the private and public sector. Her roles spanned areas including eating disorders, obesity, mental health and forensic psychology.
