Routine Data Expert Days

A series of four workshops, exploring the use of routine data in end of life and palliative care research, were jointly hosted by Public Health England and the CSI in December 2013 and March 2014. 125 delegates attended the workshops including: researchers from the UK (King’s College London, University College London, Hull University, York University, Oxford University) and internationally (USA, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands), data holding bodies (Office for National Statistics, Health and Social Care Information Centre), representatives from Clinical Commissioning Groups, the Care Quality Commission, London Cancer Alliance, charities (Nuffield Trust, Macmillan, Marie Curie, National Centre for Palliative Care, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Neurological Alliance, Sue Ryder, Help the Hospices), clinicians working in hospices, care homes, hospitals and home care settings, and experts by experience (also known as service users).
