UKROC Data Entry Training Day

UK FIM + FAM Training Day

The Functional Independence Measure (FIM) is a global measure of disability and can be scored alone or with the additional 12 items that formulate the Functional Assessment Measure (FAM).

FAM does not stand alone, hence the abbreviation of FIM+/-FAM. The original items were developed by Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) but extrapolation to the UK was not directly possible, therefore a user group in the UK adapted the FAM items to produce a UK version (UK FIM+FAM). 

The UK FIM+/-FAM is designed for measuring disability in the brain-injured population. It has an ordinal scoring system for all 30 items from 1-7. 

The UK FIM+FAM manual can be provided alongside our rigorous training days or upon request.

Outcome Measures Training Day

The Outcome Measures training day includes presentations and practical group sessions using the Rehabilitation Complexity Scale (RCS-E), Nursing Dependency (NPDS-H) and Therapy Dependency (NPTDA),

Goal Attainment Scaling Training Day

An overview of the Goal Attainment Scaling and practical sessions to equip you with the skills to use the tool effectively. The last Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) training day was held on Tuesday 11th of February 2020. For more information please contact Elica Ming-Brown.
