Our researchers are working hard to improve understanding of the relationship between society and mental health.

Professor Craig Morgan

As well as our Co-founder and Co-director, Craig Morgan is Professor of Social Epidemiology and Head of the Health Service and Population Research Department at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. 

Professor Morgan co-leads our Young People and Social Change programme, and has expertise on the social distribution and determinants of psychoses and other mental disorders, on adolescent mental health, and on the inter-relationships between poverty, culture, ethnicity, and mental health.

Dr Hanna Kienzler

Co-director Dr Hanna Kienzler is a Reader in Global Health and Director of the undergraduate programme in Global Health & Social Medicine. 

Dr Kienzler is co-lead of our Marginalised Communities programme, and has expertise on health and mental health outcomes due to systemic violence, ethnic conflict and complex emergencies, as well as the impact of war and trauma on women.
