MA Programme

CSSS offers  the MA in Science and Security and a variety of other relevant MA optional modules, including ‘Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear (CBRN) Terrorism’ and ‘Armchair Intelligence: Open Sources and Online Investigation.’  Our teaching focuses on developing multi-disciplinary approaches and critical skills for the analysis of policy problems and dilemmas. It emphasises active student learning through the use of case- studies, simulations, and discussion seminars. When possible, the Centre offers internships on current research projects; students are also encouraged to apply for internships at other London-based institutions working in the field, such as the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre (VERTIC), Chatham House and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).
