Dental Institute External Strategy
Welcome to the home page of the The Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences External Activities. The faculty is committed to increasing our international linkages and experience for our staff and students.
All undergraduate students are encouraged to take an elective during their final year and partnerships with schools around the world help to facilitate this. This works on a reciprocal basis, so that we can also receive an equal number of students at King's.
Staff sabbaticals are an important part of our strategy and lead to much-improved opportunities for collaborative research, as well as experience, and of course, we wish to encourage students worldwide to take the opportunity of graduate taught master's or research studentships with us. The development of distance learning degrees allow extensive worldwide linkage with the faculty.
The faculty also has over 7,000 alumni spread around the world and we wish to make use of their experience and friendship to extend the knowledge and influence of the Dental Institute and to welcome our students, when travelling abroad. Electives, sabbaticals and research studentships require funding and an important part of our external strategy, is to raise awareness and funds to implement them.
Achievements of our alumni in dentistry, research and other fields are considerable and our intentions to better recognise this involves the setting up of worldwide alumni associations.
in this section, you will find details of our partner institutions, the prestigious Dental Circle, the Dental Alumni Association, including notes on Clinical Day and alumni awards.
