Educational and Professional Background

Kiran holds a Masters in Online and Distance Education from the Open University and a BSc in Multimedia Technology and Education from Stockholm University. She has worked as a Learning Technologist within the FE sector for a number of years. She then trained as a Chartered Librarian whilst managing the LRC and Study Centre (libraries). After a couple of years in this field, Kiran then decided that she wanted to return to working with eLearning as she is passionate about how technology can enhance the student experience.

Educational and Professional Background

Before joining King’s Jesal worked as a VLE administrator at BPP University and worked as a freelance developer. Jesal holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer science from Oxford Brookes University and is currently a part-time post-graduate student studying MA Online and Distance Education at The Open University.

Educational and Professional Background

Stephen read for a BA in Philosophy at King's. While a student he worked in IT support at the Maughan Library and as an intern on the King's Experience Survey. Post-graduation he worked in IT Solutions at King's on a number of different initiatives across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the use of the LiftUpp application by students and teachers
  • Coordinating the use of learning technologies so as to enhance students' clinical skills at the Dental Institute Implementing the Dental Institute’s Technology Enhanced Learning Strategy Developing multimedia learning resources in collaboration with staff and students
  • Meeting students’ TEL needs on distance and blended learning programmes
  • Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues across the College to help embed learning technologies to support teaching, learning and assessment activities
