Biomaterials Group

Biomaterials Group

The Biomaterials group primarily focuses on developing and characterising innovative novel biomaterials suited for technology transfer and through to clinical translation. Specific approaches include creating scaffolds with hierarchical porous structures using polymer-ceramic and tough elastomeric composites to combine mechanical function and tissue regeneration for hard and soft tissue engineering. Dental materials research include development of smart restorative materials, novel biomimetic engineered implants for periodontal ligament regeneration and materials for endodontic applications.
