Speaker: Dr Matthew Hepworth, Manchester Immunology Group, University of Manchester

Speaker biography: 

PhD 2004-2008 at the University of Manchester working on Type 2 immunity to Gastrointestinal Helminths

Postdoc 2008-2012 at the Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany continuing work on Type 2 immunity to Gastrointestinal Helminths

Postdoc 2012-2016 at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA and later at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York City - working on group 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3) and crosstalk with the commensal microflora

Since 2016 - Royal Society and Wellcome Trust Sir Henry Dale fellow, Lister Institute of Preventative Medicine fellow and group leader at the University of Manchester.
