The Strand Lane ‘Roman' Bath, a National Trust site, has been a long-running puzzle for historians and architects because, since the 1830s, it has been reputed to be a Roman survival. But its supposed Roman identity is, in fact, bogus...

Join Gen Doy and Professor Michael Trapp in the atmospheric shadows of the Strand Lane 'Roman' Bath to discover past states of the Bath's interior and learn about individuals connected with its history through images and dialogue. The event comes out of their King's Artists project Layers & Echoes: sounding imagined pasts in the Strand Lane Bath, exploring the history and cultural mythology of the site.

Entrance to the Bath for this event is via Surrey Street gate.

Please be aware the Bath's antechamber has capactiy for 6 people. There may be a slight waiting time for entry if capacity is reached.

The event is part of the exhibition programme for King's Artists – New Thinking, New Making at the Arcade in Bush House, open until 15 December.

For more information about the King's Artists residency programme please visit the King's College London website.
