Respect4Neurodevelopment (R4N) is a UKRI (EPSRC/MRC)–funded Network Plus (2022–2026) that has brought together a truly interdisciplinary community to co-develop responsible, reliable, scalable, and personalised neurotechnologies for neurodivergent children. Our network includes over 450 members across academia, industry, clinical practice, bioengineering, and bioethics—and, crucially, autistic and neurodivergent people and families with lived experience.
The launch will formally present our co-produced Strategic Roadmap, which identifies national barriers and priorities for the use of neurotechnologies in early identification, monitoring, and support for neurodivergent children and young people.
This Strategic Roadmap is designed to outline pathways for responsible innovation, inform future policy, NHS planning, and research investment at a time of rapidly rising demand for neurodevelopmental (including autism, ADHD) and mental health services.
The afternoon will feature brief presentations, a high-level panel discussion, and opportunities for dialogue with researchers, clinicians, industry leaders, policy stakeholders, and lived-experience representatives. Full details will follow shortly.
We would be honoured if you were able to join us.
