This month's Nuclear Security Culture Programme (NSCP) webinar will welcome Rakesh Burgul, Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS). He will be joined by his colleagues James Crabtree and Lauren Gorge.

As the pandemic restrictions begin to ease and we see ourselves transitioning back to the ‘normal’ way of working, working back in the office, commuting, and travel around the UK and internationally has now resumed. The transition from the post pandemic working environment creates a variety of challenges and opportunities within cybersecurity. The adoption of hybrid working, remote access and the utilisation of new software products highlights that cybersecurity can be agile, enabling the business to thrive but remain secure with the adoption of these new technologies.

This session will explore the positives and challenges which we have faced during the pandemic, the adaptations which have been made in order to maintain cyber security whilst working from home, and the challenges of transitioning back to the office and how other businesses/individuals’ experiences have differed.

The areas to be addressed include:

  • The positives and challenges which we have faced as an organisation and individuals during the pandemic.
  • How NTS have adapted to the approach of hybrid working in terms of managing Cyber Security through the transition period.
  • NTS’s issues and experiences relating to cyber security during the pandemic.
  • Systems and software which have been utilized during the pandemic.
  • Starting a new job/role (particularly young people) during the pandemic and the hybrid working period.
  • Discussion around other individuals working arrangements and experiences during the pandemic and the transition back into the office.
