Abstract:

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) contributors in the East of England flagged up the issue that feedback (from researchers to PPI contributors) was minimal or absent. PPI contributors reported spending valuable time commenting on complex issues and continue to volunteer without acknowledgement, thanks or knowing if their input was useful.  The talk will include the findings from our CLAHRC EoE funded study which included a survey, interviews and audits. Six PPI groups co-designed PPI Feedback tools which have been implemented and a PPI Feedback Guidance for researchers has been produced.
