Join us at an event exploring how Indigenous ecological knowledge can inform urban climate resilience through community-led food systems.

Featuring partners from India and Uganda, we will highlight land-based practices, ancestral agroecology, and cross-cultural models that can support London’s transition toward just and climate-resilient food futures. Attendees will hear storytelling, case studies, and practical examples of Indigenous-led climate solutions, followed by an interactive discussion on how universities and youth movements can build ethical, long-term collaborations with grassroots movements.

The event will feature a diverse range of perspectives, including:

  • A speaker from Compassion in World Farming, a leading global organisation working on food systems, animal welfare, biodiversity, and climate change through research, policy, and advocacy
  • A youth-led farming representative from Uganda, sharing Indigenous and community-based agroecological practices and perspectives on climate resilience
  • A local, influential community environmental leader from the UK, offering insights into community farming and urban food systems in the UK context

Please note, this event is only open to King's staff and students

This is a free event, which means we overbook to allow for no-shows and to avoid empty seats. While we generally do not have to turn people away, this does mean we cannot guarantee all ticket holders a place. Admission is on a first come, first served basis. Those without tickets will not be admitted.
