Update (23 Mar): One of the speakers, Xavier Abu Eid, will not be able to attend the event due to flight disruptions in the region.

Join us for a topical discussion about the Board of Peace and the future of Palestine with His Excellency Husam Zomlot, Palestinian Ambassador to the UK.

Going beyond the rhetoric and the headlines, His Excellency will discuss prospects for Palestinian self-determination as Israel continues military operations in Gaza and ramps up settlement activity across the West Bank. What will the Board of Peace mean for the future of Palestine, and for Palestinian independence and freedom?

The Ambassador will be joined by Muhammad Shehada, Visiting Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, Xavier Abu Eid, former adviser to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and Dr Shahd Hammouri, Lecturer in International Law and Legal Theory at the University of Kent.

The event will be moderated by Dr Felix Berenskötter.
