Lawyers are increasingly becoming entrepreneurs in all sorts of ways, creating technology-enabled services, launching innovative ventures and developing new ways to solve legal problems.

The legal sector often distinguishes between 'Big Law' and 'People Law'. Whilst major firms continue to make significant investment in AI and legal technology, some of the most exciting innovation is emerging in areas serving individuals, families and small businesses. This panel will showcase how entrepreneurial lawyers globally are using technology, new business models and creative thinking to improve access to legal services and deliver practical solutions to real-world problems.

Bringing together lawyers who have founded innovative legal ventures, our panellists will discuss and showcase how they identified opportunities for change, attracted collaborators and stakeholders, navigated regulatory and ethical challenges, and transformed ideas into successful initiatives.

The discussion will offer practical insights for innovation, entrepreneurship and the future of legal services, demonstrating how lawyers can not only adapt to change, but help shape it.

Refreshments will be provided during networking and discussion.

Panellists:

Raj Panasar Headshot

Raj Panasar

Raj Panasar is the Founder and CEO of LawFairy, an SRA-authorised, technology-only law firm believed to be the first in the world to deliver regulated legal services entirely through technology, without a lawyer or other human decision-maker in the loop.

A former partner at Cleary Gottlieb and Hogan Lovells, Raj spent more than two decades practising at leading international law firms before founding LawFairy. Combining his legal expertise with a longstanding interest in technology and automation, he built LawFairy to demonstrate that regulated legal services can be delivered at scale through deterministic technology – making high-quality legal support more accessible without compromising accuracy, accountability or regulatory oversight.
