Why should chronic hypertension in pregnancy be a research priority?

Dr Louise Webster is a Clinical Lecturer in Women’s Health and Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her PhD evaluated mechanism and treatment in an ethnically diverse group of women with chronic hypertension in pregnancy to assess factors contributing to maternal and perinatal outcome. Her ongoing research interests lie in the impact of maternal morbidity on short and long term outcomes for mother and baby.
