Research groups

Our research centres and groups contribute to a deeper understanding of the environments and societies in which we live, at both the global and local level.

King's Geography has five key research groups Physical & Environmental Geography, Contested Development, Urban Futures, Risk, Hazard & Society and Political Ecology, Biodiversity & Ecosystem Services.  These groupings of academic, research staff, professional services staff and PhD students are the research engine of the Department, generating new knowledge, managing research projects and publishing in these substantive areas.
