Geography has been taught at King's College London since 1854. Today, studying Geography at King’s means examining some of the key issues facing the world today from a large but friendly and well-resourced department. These include climate change, environmental degradation, sustainability and urban regeneration. Our Geography BA and BSc degrees provide our students with specialist knowledge within a broad interdisciplinary education. Students are encouraged to develop their own interests and skills, with the amount of choice and specialisation increasing as you move forward through the degree.

Why study with us

  • Fieldwork is central to the King's experience. We currently visit China, India, Morocco, Spain and the USA. The above image was taken by student Catherine Munyarari on her field trip to Kerala, India.
  • You can specialise in human or physical geography, or combine both
  • Our central London location on the River Thames and a stone's throw from Parliament provides opportunities for fieldwork, engagement with policy-makers, as well as easy access to a wide range of facilities, experiences and job opportunities
